Joel Putterman

Joel Putterman has lived in Brookhaven since December 1988.  He is married to Dolores Byrd and shares their Brookhaven Row home with two rescued dachshunds, Chickie and Hopi.  Joel has been an active member of the community as a leader of his neighborhood association, Brookhaven Row Home Owners, Inc., as well as being an early founder of the Brookhaven Peachtree Community Alliance (BPCA).

Joel has provided leadership, guidance and perspective to the evolving BPCA organization since 2002.  Joel is a certified planner and urban designer and has directed a wide range of award-winning planning + design projects throughout the United States and abroad for corporate, institutional, municipal, state and federal clients.  As a member of the Urban Land Institute, American Institute of Certified Planners and the Congress for New Urbanism, Joel seeks to integrate smart growth, new urbanist principles and sustainable practices into innovative, yet responsive  planning + design solutions.   Joel is currently a principal in  a global planning + design firm.
